Ladies morning tea had us shivering!

Hours and hours of preparation. 166 nights camping on ice. Minus 56 degrees. Endless horizons – a huge white world.

This year’s Patrick Rowan & Associates ladies morning tea had us shivering …

Linda Beilharz OAM.   The first Australian woman to feel the glory to have done an ‘all the way’ expedition to the North and South Poles.  Crossing the world’s four major ice caps … she did it all in her 40’s  and 50’s!!

With wind storms, white outs, sun dogs, snow and rain Linda relayed her journey in detail.  Trekking on the ice there were days were you simply want to throw it all in. But the will and determination of this incredible lady is amazing.

Clearly this sort of trek is not for everyone!

We admire you Linda and thank you for sharing your journey with us. www.icecapjourneys.com.au

The Patrick Rowan & Associates Ladies Morning tea is now in it’s fifth year.  We strive to bring interesting speakers to Geelong and match it with a fabulous morning tea at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Who can resist their mouthwatering macaroons!

As in the past, this event was all about raising funds for the Geelong Christ Church Meals program.
