Finance Matters. GYP Breakfast.

Investing, financial planning, super and loans were the topic of conversation at the recent Geelong Young Professionals breakfast.

Over breakfast at GMHBA Stadium, our expert panel (Luke Szczepanik, Matthew Baker and David Maddock) encouraged over 100 attendees to “take charge of their finances”.

What if money could buy you happiness?

Your financial goals should be a direct reflection of the things that are important to you.

Financial Health Check.

Take charge of your finances:

1. Take an active interest in your finances.

Take the time to understand your financial position.

2.  Set some financial goals.

Create some goals and make a plan to achieve them.

3. Plan your cash flow.

If you understand your incomings and outgoings, you can take control of your money and start saving for the future.

4. Get to know your super and contribute!

Review, consolidate and contribute. This will help grow your super for the future.

5. Invest early to get the best return.

You don’t need to invest a lot. Investing a small amount over a longer period can mean $100k’s difference when you retire.

6. Make sure you are protected.

Having the right level of protection in place will assist you and your family through the hard times and cover the unexpected.

Tip: The secret to creating and maintaining wealth is to have the right team on your side. Accountants, Patrick Rowan & Associates and Financial Planners, Apt Wealth Partners work closely together to help you along your financial journey.

“At your end, you’ll regret the things you didn’t do instead of the things you did.”

– Robin Sharma
