Long time client, SC Technology group recently took out the Powercor Geelong Business Excellence Awards, main prize as well as the Medium Commercial Services Business of the Year.

Husband and wife team, Rob and Julie Hunter have grown from a small business selling Toshiba photocopiers to being one of the best in the industry. Employing a staff of 25, they also have a showroom in Ballarat.

We reminisce with Rob and Julie upon the time when they had a small shop in Yarra Street. So cramped for space, they had to unload and unpack stock in the carpark out the back.

Now located in West Fyans Street, the modern premises are environmentally friendly with a north facing showroom, polished concrete floors and solar panels currently being installed.

Looking back at what they have achieved over the years, as their Accountants, we’ve been pleased to watch the business grow. Their accounting requirements changed over the years and new business structures put in place.

Hard work, a self-belief and keeping up to date and ensuring the team is provided with continual professional development is so important.

The hard working duo reveal working together is an amazing experience and having some fun along the way also helps!
