Small Business Digital Adaptation Program
The Victorian Government currently has open a program giving business a rebate of up to $1,200 to trial a product for 12 months to help build their digital capability.
This can apply to new products, restoring access to a product that has lapsed (for at least 12 months) or upgrades to existing digital tools (for example, adding a shop to a current website).
The program also offers free digital adaptation training and workshops.
To be eligible the applicant must:
· Operate a business located in Victoria
· Hold an ABN that was active on 13th September 2019
· Be registered for GST on 13th September 2020 (although not for profits don’t need to satisfy this)
· Be currently operating and intend to adapt their business to a digital operating environment
Only products from providers who have partnered with the Victorian Government are eligible under the scheme.
Products will be added in the future, but currently the only product providers are:
Mr Yum (food and beverage)
MYOB (business management)
Xero (business management)
Shopify (end to end retail)
Square (end to end retail)
Squarespace (website creation)
Spaces in the program are limited and will cease when funds are exhausted, or 31st March 2021.
